KO Propo Grand Prix:

Our KO Propo Grad Prix pics and video can be found here. Take a look! We held our KO Propo Grand Prix on December 12th and 13th and it was, by all accounts, a huge success! We had about 130 entries and lots of well stacked classes. The big winner of the weekend was Barry Baker who TQ'd and swept his two classes, Pro Mod Sedan and 13.5 KO Spec sedan. Congratulations Barry! A special thanks goes out to KO Propo for choosing to host their premier event at our facility, the sponsors, the racers and the fans. Without everyone of you this weekend would not have happened.

Grand Re-Opening Success:

Our Grand Re-Opening race was held on December 5th and 6th and was a huge success. We had over 160 entries over 2 days of racing! We had some great battles in both Onroad and Offroad. We also saw lots of new faces over both days. We hope this is a sign of things to come as it has been the intention of West Coast, since the beginning, to introduce the hobby to new people so they can share in the joy we all have when we spend a day at the track.

Also, we installed a projector that will display the race scoring live on our wall. We are in the process of installing another one so that scoring can be seen from anywhere in the pits with ease.

Just another way West Coast is striving to be the best track in the world!!

See you there!

Sponsorship Opportunities:

If you or someone you know would be interested in sponsoring West Coast R/C Raceway please contact us here. We offer fair prices for all.

F1 Sunday Racing

In an effort to support the growing F1 scene here in Southern California we have decided to host Sunday racing for F1 drivers only.

It is kind of an interesting format:

1 round of qualifying where your fastest lap seeds you in the mains

Mains are runs starting with the lowest main and moving up to the A-Main.

Main are resorted after every round, so if you run a more laps in less time than someone in a higher main then they get bumped down and you take the higher spot. Think of it as "Live Qualifying". Every run determines your starting position in the next main.

Points are awarded for the top 10 finishers as well as one point for the original TQ from the first round.

The schedule is as follows:
Sunday Dec 27
Sunday Jan 17(confirmed)
Sunday Feb 21(unconfirmed)
Sunday Mar 21(unconfirmed)

Typical F1 rules apply:
Mabuchi Silver Can motor or 21.5 brushless motor
Realistic body and wings
Foam or Rubber tires intended for F1's only
Foam and Rubber drivers are scored seperately

So grab your F1's and come on out and have fun! Doors open at 10AM, signups close at 10:30AM and racing starts at 11AM. We have Offroad racing at 3PM so we try to keep the F1 races pretty quick paced.
